BY ADVENTURE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER TEAM KELSI & PATRICK
Ever wonder what a two-day adventure engagement session in Hawaii would be like? Chris and Nina decided to find out for themselves in preparation for their upcoming wedding in Jamaica. They knew their wedding photos would be bright and airy on a white sand beach and wanted something totally different for their engagement photos. They already knew that their wedding photos would be tropical and beachy, so it was up to us to choose three different locations that showcased dramatically different scenery from the usual white sand beach.
Their photoshoot spanned two days and three locations on the Island of Oahu with a botanical garden engagement photoshoot and ocean dip. To start, we met up a bit before sunset on the first night and hike about 20 minutes into a secluded bay. The water was calm and the sunset was gorgeous. Nina and Chris splashed around in the water. For this shoot, Patrick took underwater pictures while I snapped the above water pictures (perks of two photographers). After the sunset, we hiked back out, even more excited to meet up the next day. For the second day of the photoshoot, we had plans to meet in a tropical bamboo forest where these two lovebirds climbed trees, played in the river, and made out between bamboo. We ended the day taking gorgeous engagement photos at Hoomulhuia Botanical Garden in Kaneohe. The botanical garden is SO versatile, not only are their stunning view of Kaneohe Bay, but theirs a pond her you can feed ducks, and lots of flowers to make out in. Thanks for choosing us to capture this stunning Hawaii Botanical Garden Engagement.
